Indigo Dyeing Drop In

Noon - 5PM, Saturday, November 28th

This event is open to everyone! Adults and kids aged 8 and up. 8-12-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate in this workshop.

For a suggested donation of $5/person, you can bring up to 3 items to dye - jeans, T-shirts, tennis shoes - whatever you want - please note that the vat is a 5-gallon bucket and may not accommodate large items. Natural fibers that work best are cottons and silks. Polyester fibers or blends will not hold dye.

We will have a station set up for you to prep your item(s) and volunteers on hand to coordinate the dyeing and rinsing of your item. Please bring plastic bags to take your items home in, you will be leaving with wet items.

Details

  • For a suggested donation of $5/person each person can bring in up to 3 items to dye (pairs of shoes count as 1 item)
  • We will have a station set up with binding implements and books/instructions and a volunteer to help you bind your item if needed
  • You can dye up to 3 items in our indigo dye - please note that the vat is a 5-gallon bucket and may not be able to accommodate large items like queen or king size bedding
  • Another volunteer will be available to help you dye your item(s), ensuring you achieve the desired result
  • After dyeing, we will help you unbind your item, rinse and bag it to take home. PLEASE BRING AS MANY PLASTIC BAGS AS YOU HAVE ITEMS. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE TAKING HOME WET ITEMS!

Cancellation Policy

Since we have limited space our events fill up quickly. If you need to cancel please let us know ASAP (email info@womenprintmakers.com) so we can fill your spot. 

If you cancel by 11/22/2015 (more than 5 days) you will receive a refund of $0.00.
NO REFUNDS for cancellations after 11/22/2015.
